Smoking Lease Addendum Style 175

Effect of breach of No smoking rule: If tenant breaches the no smoking rule then owner/agent has the right to issue notice of termination on these grounds alone.. Smoking is defined as the inhaling, exhaling, or possession of any lighted cigarette, cigar, pipe, or other similar apparatus containing tobacco, as well as any other similar lighted products. Tenant is not permitted to smoke on the described premises. Smoking is not permitted inside the leased premises or anywhere on the surrounding property. This includes, but is not limited to, the garage, driveway, sidewalk, yard, deck, patio, and landing. Unlike a lease amendment, which is a change in the contract itself, a lease addendum is an additional document that is added to the existing lease agreement. For example, in the residential lease context, pet ownership, roommate expectations, crime free agreements, and lawn care policies may all be controlled by addenda (if they are not already controlled by the lease itself).
