Franchise Agreement Style 9

Franchisors may impose design or appearance standards to ensure a uniform look among their outlets. Some franchisors require periodic renovations or design changes; complying with these requirements may increase your costs. A franchise agreement contains information about the advertising requirements on the part of the franchisee, in addition to the ways the company will participate in assisting the franchisee with advertising. Typically, a franchisee is responsible for a certain percentage of franchise costs, and the information about how much the franchisee will have to spend on advertising will be contained within the agreement. In addition to explaining the duration of the franchise, the franchise agreement will provide information about the renewal of the agreement. Should the franchise operation prove successful, the company may choose to renew the franchise license with the franchisee, and the agreement will contain all the necessary information about if and when this may occur. Should the operation prove unsuccessful--if the franchisee breaks stated rules or fails in the business--the agreement will provide information about termination of the operation.
