In the section labeled "Your Action Plans" below, write down action plans, especially for the next year. Action plans specify how the strategic goals and strategies will be carried out. The basis of strategic planning is simple: Our organization is at point A. We need to get to point B in three to five years. But even if that’s not your intention, it will take time and considerable effort to keep your new template in use across the organization. One way to ensure it is actually helpful to you (and not just a nice thumbnail on your desktop) is to get buy-in from your senior leadership team. So it is of utmost importance to have the right people for all successes. And they may at this point have some sense of how the firm will differentiate itself and create customer demand. This much, however, is not yet a strategy. This is a one stage process. The stages in this process are market gap opportunity, solution template, value proposition product benefits, go to market plan.
